Devlog #6 Entity skirmishes
Hello Everyone,
Welcome back to this weeks installment of my devlog!
This week, I got some of my steam back and worked mainly on the spawning of factions and getting ready to knock this week out.
First, I have a quick video to show what the combat is at.
The video at the bottom of the screen shows a quick snippet of how the combat is working.
One of the first things you might notice is that the camera shakes a lot. This is due to having it clamped onto an entity that is being swarmed by friend and foe alike. Furthermore, on the backend, it is doing combat calculations on how much damage a unit gives and receives. Each of these entities have a name attack rating, defense rating and small snippets of their battle career. They will seek the closest enemy then fight until either they or the enemy entity is dead.
The main things I will be doing this upcoming week includes:
-added weapon variety
-adding a visible event log so it won't only show up on the back console
-game modes
-teams/alliances
If I finish those the reach goals will be:
-ai combat reviewer after so and so battles per faction
-formations
-armor variety
-simple terrain
